Spier is a household name for so many people, I just live down the road so I am so spoiled to go there often to taste all the new vintages. When I tasted the Creative block 2, I just knew this was definitely on my blog for November it is so fruity, grenadilla and floral notes come to me and I just think summer and delicious food to go with it.

This white Bordeaux-style blend is created from ±85% Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. This award-winning wine can be paired with light meals, seafood, or even spicy, Asian-inspired dishes.
Creative Block 2
Wine of Origin: Stellenbosch
South-West facing Vineyards from the cool Tygerberg, Helderberg and Darling. Proximity to ocean 9 – 14 km.
Ripe kiwi fruit and white peaches on the nose with a strong intense green grassy undertone. Perfumed green winter melon, full plated wine with an undertow of green asparagus.
Grapes were hand-harvested early in the morning in 10kg lug boxes and pre-cooled before hand sorting, destemming and crushing. Skin contact was limited to 6 hours and the free run juice drained off to settle overnight before inoculation with a selected yeast strains. The fermentation took place under controlled temperatures between 12 – 14 °C. The wine matured for 6 months on the lees before bottling
