Pinotage Rose Sorbet

Think slush puppy meets an icy glass of rose. It is so easy to make and you don’t have to work hard to get absolute amazing flavour, Delheim’s Pinotage Rose does all that work for you!!

½ cup of water
100g sugar
250g strawberries, washed, hulled and chopped
1 bottle of Delheim’s Pinotage Rose
2 tablespoons of lemon juice

Put the water and sugar into a small pot and bring to a boil, without stirring, then remove from the heat and let the syrup cool down to room temperature, (pop it in the fridge to speed up the process.)

Place the cooled sugar syrup and strawberries in a blender, then blitz until smooth. Combine the strawberry- sugar puree with the bottle wine and lemon juice. Place in a freezer- proof container.  Freeze until frozen solid, at least 4 hours, but you could do this a day ahead of serving (it won’t freeze rock-hard, but should be solid.)

Transfer the frozen mixture to a blender and blitz until fluffy or use a fork to make little crystals.

Spoon the mixture into glasses and serve immediately.
