Low Carb Chocolate Smoothie

I got this recipe from Suzanne from goodeats.stellenbosch. Since I’ve tasted it, that is what I have for breakfast every morning. I feel so energized and satisfied. There are so many wonderful ingredients in this smoothie that you can’t but feel healthy after drinking it.

Later this month I am going to tell you all about each ingredient health benefit. I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do.  Thanks Suzanne for this wonderful recipe.

Note:  Cut the zucchini in chunks and freeze them, make ice cubes from the almond milk.  This will make your life so much easier.

This recipe makes a 1L Consol jar.


2 cups ice cold water
A dash of cinnamon, turmeric, pink Himalayan salt and ginger
2 tsp chia seeds
100g frozen zucchini chunks
60ml almond milk ice cubes
1/8 tsp vanilla extract
30g Ohmega Nutbutters almond butter
15g cocoa powder
15g sweetener
½ tsp xantham gum (secret ingredient)
1 scoop chocolate protein powder


Blend all these ingredients together, I use the Nutribullet for this.
