Homemade Muesli

I absolutely love cinnamon and the health benefits are great. I have tried so many different recipes and this one is by far the best. When I am craving something sweet I would have this as a snack.

6 cups of rolled oats
½ cup pumpkin seeds
½ cup linseeds
½ cup sesame seeds
½ cup sunflower seeds
1 cup nuts (your favorite)
1 cup desiccated coconut
10 ml ground ginger
10 ml ground cinnamon
10 ml ground cloves
200 ml honey or maple syrup
150 ml coconut oil

Mix together the oats, seeds, nuts, coconut and spices in a large oven tray.

Heat the honey and coconut oil and gentle hear and stir into the oats mixture.

Toast the muesli at 70C for about an hour or until toasted.

Remember to stir half way. Allow the mixture to cool well before storing in an airtight container.

I made this lovely muesli today – Im so sick of buying muesli in the shops and it tastes awful. I have been looking for a nice recipe for ages as my mom used to make muesli for us when I was little, and then I found this on – super quick and easy to make, very tasty and affordable – the only thing I did differently, was that I used mixed seeds instead of buying the individual seeds in, and I also left it in the oven for an hour on 110’C and not 70’C and it really toasted everything nicely. Cant wait to have some for brekky in the morning. Thanks Elmarie.

      Hi Audrey
I am so glad you enjoyed the muesli. I must say I also use mixed seeds in my kitchen. It just makes it super easy. Thank you for sharing your message you made my day.
