Dark chocolate, nuts and dates sounds and taste delicious and you can enjoy these without feeling guilty. The combination of dark chocolate and almond butter is truly addictive.
1 cup of oh Mega’s Almond Flour
½ cup plain flour or you can use coconut flour
¾ cup cocoa
1 ½ teaspoon baking powder
½ cup pitted dates soaked in boiling water for 20 minutes and drained
1/3 cup oh Mega’s Almond butter
¾ cup maple syrup
¾ cup Crede coconut oil
½ cup coconut sugar or normal sugar
1/3 cup almond milk or normal milk
Pinch of sea salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
100g 70% dark chocolate chips
Place the dates into a bowl and cover them with boiling water. Let them soak for 20 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Pre heat the oven 180C. Line a sheet pan with baking paper and spray it with non-stick spray.
Sift all the dry ingredients together if there is no big pieces of nuts you can put that in there as well.
Put the rest of the ingredients except the chocolate chips in a food processor and blend well.
Mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and fold in the chocolate chips. Reserve 2 tablespoons of chocolate chips to sprinkle over the batter.
Pour the batter into the sheet pan. Using the back of a spatula distribute it evenly throughout the pan.
Sprinkle it with the reserved chocolate pieces.
Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
Let them cool for 30 minutes before serving.
